I am on holiday with the family. We are spending some time in Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Its been fantastic so far especially since it was an opportunity to meet up with many of my cousins I have not seen in a long time. We were all close growing up together but then ended up in different parts of the world and don’t get to meet very often. We planned a road trip with them and their kids allowing the perfect opportunity for the next generation to bond and keep in contact. We travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Jelebu and then to Melaka. In Jelebu we stayed at the Shorea . A beautiful boutique villa overlooking the rainforest. The kids had a fantastic time; just watching them interact and having fun made our day(s). In Melaka we rented an historic Peranakan House for a night just off the historic Jonkers Street to have a taste of yesteryear. All in all a brilliant time together building happy memories and strengthening family ties.

Next stop Sri Lanka to visit my sister and her bouncing baby boy and soak up the atmosphere of the Sri Lankan elections!
